Where are your plant-based vitamin and mineral extracts made?

The plant extracts that provide many of the vitamins and minerals in our multivitamins and single-nutrient products are made in India, from plants grown on partner farms.

The plant extracts that provide many of the vitamins and minerals in our products are made in India, from plants grown on a network of partner farms across the country rather than a single farm.

For example, the vitamin C in our Vitamin C comes from amla (Indian gooseberry), the iron in Gentle Iron comes from curry leaf, and the B vitamins in B Complex come from a blend of plants including guava leaf, amla, curry leaf, holy basil, lemon, moringa and fenugreek.

These extracts are used in:

How the plants are grown

Our extract partner has worked with farmers and farming communities across India for many years. Their farming draws on traditional Indian farming principles and is built on protecting the soil and local biodiversity.

Supporting the farmers

Rather than buying plants on the open market, our partner works directly with its growers. They run crop development programmes with the farmers and invest in improving quality of life in the rural communities where the plants are grown.

Quality and traceability

Every batch is traced from the farm to the finished extract, with quality checks from the source through to the final product. The extracts are made in an ISO-certified facility that meets international food safety regulations. So while we can't point to one farm, each batch can be followed back to where it was grown.

Other ingredients in these products, and in the rest of our range, come from a number of different countries. If you'd like to know where a particular ingredient comes from, send us a message and we'll find out for you.
