Our pouch is not currently compostable and not widely recyclable. It's made from 3 layers, one layer of BPA free plastic, a second layer of aluminium and a third of paper. These are all recyclable independently, but there are not many places that can separate the layers and we have not been able to obtain a list of where.

Interestingly, a major independent study looked at the environmental impact of glass and plastic bottles as well as flexible pouches and found pouches to be more environmentally friendly when considering all required resource to produce, ship, recycle and dispose of the packaging.

However, thanks to recent improvements in the flexible packaging material options we are in the final stages of moving to a plastic free and compostable pouch that we are very excited about launching soon.
