Mixing Capsule Contents with Food: What You Need to Know

Guidance on when and how to safely mix our capsule contents with food or drink.

Updated over a week ago

At Together Health, we're dedicated to ensuring our customers get the most from our supplements. A frequent question we encounter is whether the contents of our capsules can be opened and mixed with food or drink.

The short answer is yes, most of our supplements are designed to allow this. However, there are specific considerations to keep in mind, especially concerning our Multibiotic and Immune products.

These particular supplements contain probiotics that are stomach acid-resistant, ensuring they reach their intended destination in your gut. The capsules themselves play a crucial role in this process. While the probiotics are designed to withstand the stomach's acidic environment, the capsules offer an added layer of protection. This combined defence ensures that as many probiotics as possible reach the gut intact.

For those who may find swallowing capsules a challenge, it's essential to understand that while it's possible to mix the contents of these capsules with food or drink, doing so might compromise their efficiency. This doesn't mean the product won't work, but its efficacy might be slightly reduced.

Additionally, our omega 3 supplement comes in a softgel form. For those who might find it challenging to swallow, there are a couple of options. You can pierce the softgel and squeeze out the oil to mix with food or drink. Alternatively, some of our customers prefer to chew the softgel directly. It's all about finding the method that works best for you.

In conclusion, while you can mix most of our supplements with food or drink, we recommend keeping the Multibiotic and Immune products in their capsule form for maximum benefit.
