Most studies show that glucosamine and chondroitin achieve modest to no improvement compared with placebo in either pain relief or joint damage. Glucosamine is often made from shellfish, which is not-vegetarian and a potential source of heavy metal contamination. Chondroitin is often made from cow cartilage or manufactured in a laboratory. We prefer to use natural sources for our ingredients with proven health benefits based on multiple scientific studies.
