Information on using Together's Folate supplement while pregnant.

Updated over a year ago

Our folate supplement is an important addition during pregnancy to help meet increased folate needs and reduce neural tube defects. The NHS recommends taking 400mcg of folic acid daily for at least the first 12 weeks and continuing throughout pregnancy.

Folate is vital for fetal development in the early stages, supporting DNA synthesis and cell division. Our formula provides 400mcg of folate in active forms, including 5-MTHF - the most active, bioavailable form.

Double-check that the folate from our supplement does not exceed the maximum daily intake when combined with your prenatal vitamin (14โ€“18 years = 800 mcg, 19+ years = 1,000 mcg). But for most women, our folate is a safe way to ensure you and your baby get enough of this essential nutrient.
